Five specialized programs designed to develop rhythmic gymnastics skills at every level, from beginners to competitive athletes.

Preschool Program
Welcome to Rhythmic Ribbon of Texas (RRT), where children ages 3-5 are introduced to rhythmic gymnastics in a fun, engaging environment designed to build coordination, confidence, and a genuine love for movement from the very first class. Our program helps young children grow through rhythmic gymnastics while providing a caring and supportive environment parents can trust.
Program Overview
Our Preschool Program welcomes preschoolers aged 3 to 5, guiding them on an adventure filled with rhythm and grace. Delivered in a safe, supportive, and structured environment, our program runs Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate your family's needs. Our certified and passionate instructors are dedicated to nurturing your child's physical, developmental, and social skills through the joy of movement.
What Your Child Will Learn
- Balance & Coordination: Developing body awareness and control through fun gymnastics activities
- Strength & Flexibility: Gaining physical strength and improving flexibility with gentle exercises tailored for young children
- Creativity & Expression: Encouraging personal expression and creativity through dance and choreography

Beginners Program
Our beginner's program is tailored to introduce young gymnasts, typically aged 5 and up, to the basics of rhythmic gymnastics.
Duration and Frequency
This is a year-round program, with classes held once or twice weekly. Each session lasts 90 minutes.
Instructors
All sessions are led by experienced and certified rhythmic gymnastics coaches.
Curriculum
- Basic body movements (jumps, pivots, balances)
- Introduction to handling apparatus (rope, hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon)
- Development of flexibility, strength, and hand-eye coordination
- Basic ballet concepts
Goals of the Beginner's Program
- Instill a love for rhythmic gymnastics
- Develop basic skills and understanding of the sport
- Enhance physical fitness and promote healthy lifestyle choices
- Prepare gymnasts for advanced levels, should they choose to continue
Enrollment Information
- Requirements: No prior gymnastics experience is necessary. Suitable for children aged 5 and older.
- Registration: Interested parents can register their children by contacting our office via phone or email. Registration is open year-round.
- Fees: Information regarding program fees and payment options is available upon request.

Competitive Rhythmic Gymnastics
The Rhythmic Ribbon of Texas (RRT) Competitive Program is for athletes ready to train more seriously and represent our academy at local championships, USAG national events, and international competitions.
Program Structure
- Age Groups: Gymnasts aged 6+, segmented by age and skill level under USAG guidelines
- Training Frequency: Multiple times a week, 6+ hours per week
- Advanced apparatus techniques (hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon, rope)
- Body difficulty elements
- Ballet and dance for gymnasts
- Strength, flexibility, and conditioning exercises
- Choreography and routine construction
Goals and Objectives
- Skill Development: Advance technique and mastery over the five apparatuses
- Performance Readiness: Prepare for competition through mock meets and routine refinement
- Mental Preparation: Focus, stress management, and performance enhancement
- Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Foster a supportive team environment
Competitions
- Local and Invitational Championships
- State, Regional, and USAG Championships
- National and International Competitions (by qualification)
Requirements for Joining
- By invitation only
- Evaluation required for appropriate level placement
- High commitment expected from gymnast and parents
- USAG Membership required

Multi-Sport Flexibility
Multi-Sport Flexibility is a stretch class developed by Coach Ella that teaches you how to articulate your body in ways that elongate muscles from end-to-end. You will learn exercises that increase flexibility, condition muscle tone, and improve body awareness through a special mind/muscle connection.
Designed specifically for rhythmic gymnasts, artistic gymnastics, ballerinas, dancers, and ice skaters. This class grew rapidly in popularity, and other sports such as swimming, football, karate, and wrestling are beginning to implement it in their training.

Why Stretch?
- Manages muscle imbalances from growing bodies

Private Stretching Sessions
Private stretching sessions benefit individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Helpful for muscle maintenance or rehabilitation from soreness or injury.
All Levels Welcome
The class is broken into sections, each focusing on different body parts. All levels are welcome!

Ballet
Classical ballet - widely considered to be the foundation of dance - blends tradition, discipline, and grace all into one class. At Rhythmic Ribbon of Texas (RRT), our ballet classes include elements from some of the most well-regarded styles such as Vaganova and Balanchine.
